13th Lecture "Effektive Management and Teamleading" started
The 13th rerun since 2003 on March 11/12th 2011 the Lecture „Effective Management and Team Leading“ was started by Rudolf Siebenhofer and Markus Scholz at the Institute for Applied Computer Science of the University of Klagenfurt.
It’s always an interesting task to teach students of computer science some basics of effective management (based on the fundamental ideas and understanding from Peter Drucker) and leadership for teams as preparation for their later work live. Enhancing the personal competences of students is there the target. For the students the sharing of experiences from the industrial practice is helpful too.
A key element of the lessons is systemic management approaches (based on Frederick Vester) and challenges of international distributed software engineering and collaboration of international teams. The lesson covers also as topic the influence of globalization on management.
The contents of the lesson are trained practically with the students also by simulations and role plays.

Germany-Day 2011 organized by the Export Center Oberösterreich
Underlining the importance of Germany as export market for Austria, especially for small enterprises and service providers was the main topic on the agenda of the Germany-Day organized by the Export Center of the Chamber of Commerce Oberösterreich on March 7th 2011 in Linz.
In a remarkable keynote speech Prof. Dr. Dieter Hundt, President of the German Employer Association and President of the German Chamber of Commerce in Austria, talked about the reasons for the return of growth in the German economy and the opportunities resulting from this prosperity also for the Austrian enterprises.
More than 350 delegates joint the event. In the panel discussion some successful Austrian entrepreneurs discussed about their experiences and key success factors for their business on the German market.
In some workshops, visited by 150 people, specific topics regarding exporting to Germany were trained and discussed. SieITMCi participated a workshop about the legal regulations for delivering products and services and working in Germany.

Informations Event of coopPSE - Association for Information Technology - and first General Assembly
Thursday, January 27th 2011 SieITMCi have participated the information event and the first General Assembly of the newly founded Association coopPSE – Association for Information Technology – at WKO in Vienna.
Nearly 30 new members and interested participants joined the event and discussions about activities and plans of the new founded association.
During the first general assembly, Dr. Herbert Drexler was elected to the first President of the association.
For many members of the association, it is an excellent platform for networking of many small IT companies, especially by the fact that the members of the association together – most of them former employees of Siemens PSE – represent some thousands of staff years project experience in various domains and one of the advantages of this network is the common history and same understanding of its members about processes and quality.
This is also one of the reasons why SieITMCi joined this association.
